Trail Running
Within a few years of falling in love with trail running Joanna Fortier has quickly put the miles under her feet to become a influential name in the NE. Not beholden to any distance or discipline she has qualified for Boston while climbing all of New Hampshire’s 48 4000k+ peaks, medaled in grueling ultra’s while still training for speed on the road. All of this work means she is poised to be a breakout star of the trail running community which has itself exploded over the last few years.
One of the unique joys of working with athletes over the course of their careers is getting to create work with them during some of their biggest milestone moments. Things that might be the culmination of thousands of hours of work, whether it’s crushing an FKT or shooting content for their dream sponsor. I’ve been very privleged to get to work with Joanna as she has gone from casual weekend warrior to certified trail badass. I was blown away by her talent when she first helped me shoot a spec project but can’t say I was surprised when she became the face of trail running for TWO different brand’s summer ad campaigns in 2020, one of which I was fortunate enough to shoot.
